Living life in peace

Living life in peace

Internal peace and fulfillment are the two basic things we want. But we live our lives basically in opposition to peace and fulfillment because we resist life. If resistance to life was gone we would simply exist in peace and fulfillment because that is our essential nature.

We resist life by wanting life to be different. We live with dissatisfaction with ‘what is’ and that dissatisfaction takes the form of various stages of anger, unworthiness and fear. We are attached to a concept that we will be happier, more peaceful and more fulfilled if things were a certain way, almost always different from the way they currently are.

As a result we grasp and push away. We try to control and manipulate. We live in a state of non-acceptance and as a result, we suffer. A life lived in resistance will create a monkey mind. It will create stress and disharmony. It will unbalance us and impede the flow of life.

If peace and fulfillment are what we want, if a calmer mind and less stress is desirable, if balance and harmony is preferable, then surrender your resistance. Allow and accept life. Make peace with life as it is. Live in the present moment and let life be as it is. This does not mean we don’t create, evolve and expand. Those are prerequisites for a happy life. It’s just that the present moment is what it is and we are in the perfect place for our expansion. Accept that as the most perfect place for us in this moment. There are unlimited possibilities ahead and we can manifest those possibilities. But in this moment, allow, accept, don’t resist, don’t grasp, don’t push away. Let go of the dissatisfaction with ‘what is’.
