Blueberries and Strawberries have the highest antioxidant capacities among all fruits so when I found this recipe, I just had to share. I might start drinking one a day as blueberries are known to improve memory.
There are many different protein powders you can use. In this recipe, it calls for whey protein powder. I've used hemp as well and it's delicious.
1/2 cup frozen strawberries
1/2 cup frozen blueberries
1/2 cup oatmeal
2 scoops of whey protein powder
1 cup milk - I use Almond or Soy
1/2 tsp vanilla
If using frozen fruit, blend/crush up the fruit. Taking the fruit out, put the oats in the blender and let it run until they are ground up to as close of a powder as desired. Add the remaining ingredients and blend until smooth.
