The Purpose and Intention of Yoga

The Purpose and Intention of Yoga

In the west yoga has become exercise and stretching. But the true meaning of yoga is to experience and understand your true nature. This means that the foundational reason you are here is to realize and re-unite with your essential, highest Self. This requires shifting your identity from a created Self to your authentic Self, moving from separation, disconnection and dissatisfaction to unity, peace and fulfillment.

Within you there is vibrational, energetic density, impressions that cover and limit your full realization and expression. The goal of Yoga is to integrate and purify this density and raise your vibrational frequency, expanding consciousness, purifying the mind, strengthening and balancing the body.

Yoga is unique in its comprehensive ability to address the body, mind, heart and soul, and fundamentally shift your energy. This shift in vibrational frequency balances the body, calms the restless mind, transforms the negative emotions, integrates distractions and cravings, opens the heart and expands Self-knowledge.

Yoga combines essential elements of Hatha, Karma, Jnana, Bhakti, Kundalini, and Mantra Yoga and Raja Yoga.

The Intention of yoga:

I will do no harm

I will be truthful and mindful

I will be generous

I will be in acceptance, allowing and non-resistance

I will honor and respect my energy and all of life

I will express my destiny fully

I will do that which supports contentment

I will remain pure of body, mind and heart

I will know my Self

I will surrender
