Most often we think about having the great relationship, the best job, the most money and the hottest looking body as things that will make us happy. But then we read a news article about the billionaire who killed himself or the most famous pop singer who became a drug addict. Having things doesn’t seem to add up to true wellness and they certainly don’t add up to bliss. They do add up to some comfort and less stress on some level so there is value for some of us in these things.
True wellness seems to be on a different level. Here are 4 “musts” to consider:
1) To be in a state of true wellness you must be authentic. Playing a perpetual game of seeking approval from others, seeking acceptance from others, searching for love outside yourself and looking for worth from others or in things is futile.
2) To be in a state of true wellness you must be connected to your full intelligence and power within. Inner separation creates confusion of purpose. Separation removes the foundation that holds all aspects of life together.
3) To be in a state of true wellness you must be in acceptance of what is in the present moment. Resistance is the source of suffering. Acceptance brings peace, allowing you to find worth, power and connection in knowing your authentic Self.
4) To be in a state of true wellness you must be expanding and in alignment with your unique expression. Wellness requires you to put your unique gift into the world.
