Using IBM’s Watson super-computer. Paysa job search analyzed the attributes that made Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk and Facebook’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg successful.
For both men the number one determinant is intellect.
For Elon Musk the following attributes, in order of importance, were immoderation, cautiousness, emotionality, altruism, orderliness, self-discipline, self-efficacy and cooperativeness.
For Mark Zuckerberg the attributes that dominated, after intellect, were emotionality and immoderation.
The results suggest that for those in certain creative fields, especially in Silicon Valley, these are the traits that can pre-determine success. Employers looking for creative talent would do well to be on the look-out for these key attributes.
The analysis is computed mainly through an individual’s writings, speeches, books they write and read and other transcripts. When it comes to the best, brightest and most successful, the three defining characteristics are intellect, self-discipline and emotionality. Altruism also appeared in many of the success lists.
